Whether you live in a house, in an apartment, on a boat, or out of your car, you need a tool set. This 159-piece set by Allied contains a full complement of hand tools and offers everything you'll need to tackle common tasks from assembling furniture and installing light fixtures to tinkering with small appliances. Fitted into the compact case are five wrench sets, a socket set, an adjustable wrench, a driver set, pliers, a crimper/stripper, an electrical tester, a tire-pressure gauge, and more. All the tools are built to last. The wrenches are well designed, and the pliers, snips, and crimper have padded rubber grips. Keep in mind, however, that while this is a terrific household tool set, the tools are designed for small projects. The wrenches, in other words, while perfect for putting together a bookcase, aren't large enough to handle the nuts and bolts on a backyard swing set. If you buy all these tools individually at the hardware store, you'll easily pay twice as much.
